Worth knowing about cottages
In most cases, the tenant picks up the key to the holiday cottage before the rental starts, collection starts from 15:00 h on the day of arrival. The address for the key collection is evident in the rental certificate. On the day of departure the tenant must return the key to the holiday home at the same place. The house must be vacated by 10:00 h on the departure day.
Facilities & equipment
Our holiday homes are privately owned in most cases and thus furnished and equipped according to the owner's individual taste. In addition to the necessary cutlery, crockery and kitchenware, all homes are individually equipped with furniture etc. In most cases, the individual beds measure between 80 and 90 cm wide and 200 cm long. Bunk beds are mainly suitable for children and can be equipped with mattresses of foam rubber. Duvet blankets or duvets and pillows are consistent with the number of persons allowed in the residence. The holiday homes are usually heated by electrical power and can in some cases be equipped with hot water tanks that contain a minimum of 20-30 l. When used wisely, this amount of hot water lasts for 2 x showers. Please note that the tenant must bring their own towels, linens, kitchen towels and the like. See price list for rental of equipment on this page. In all our holiday rentals, garden furniture consisting of a table and chairs consistent with the number of people allowed in the residence are available. Parasol and/or deck chairs and cushions are considered optional and are not always supplied by the holiday home.
If the property is equipped with satellite/SAT TV, it means German-language TV channels are usually received. There are no Danish pay channels (e.g. TV2) available in the holiday accommodations. Information on TV2 in specific accommodations is available in the home presentation on our website.
Please note that resort areas are also used for residential purposes and therefore there may be on going construction work and traffic. The before mentioned does not cause any reduction in the rental price.
Power consumption etc.
Energy is in general paid for in addition to the rental price. In most holiday rentals, electricity (and, in some places also water) will be charged by the meter. It is the tenant's responsibility to read the meter reading on arrival and departure. If you have paid a deposit for the rental, the consumption will be balanced against the deposit. If you have not paid the deposit, you must settle the consumption and pay the fee in cash when you return the key on the day of departure. The price of consumption appears from a consumption billing insert. A consumption settlement leaflet will be handed out upon arrival along with the key, should be handed in completed with the meter count with the key on departure day regardless of payment form.
In some holiday homes consumption is either included in the price or prepaid at booking. In these cases, it will be apparent from the description of the individual rental.
Homes with fireplace are rented without the consumption of firewood, which is considered an extra.
Since most vacation rentals are located in the wild, it must be expected that you on the property may encounter various insects. Even after a thorough cleaning, it can happen that cobwebs, dust and dead insects reappear in a short time. In the autumn, you may encounter mice in the holiday home.
When the rental period has been completed, it is the tenant's responsibility to leave the property clean and in good condition, and thus ready to receive the next guests. Leaving the apartment in an unacceptable condition will result in a fee, as well as the covering of costs for the agency or the owner conducting the cleaning.
In connection with the booking of the holiday home, you may also order final cleaning. Note that despite having ordered final cleaning, the tenant must leave the rental in a tidy and acceptable condition. Rules and information about cleaning the house will be handed to you at key collection.

Although summer in Bornholm is something special, the Pearl of the Baltic Sea is well worth a visit off-season too. Yes, many guests actually believe that Bornholm is best off-season. Every season has its charm. Bornholm is also beautiful dressed in autumn's golden colours, lovely in winter's deep quiet calm and optimistic with this spring's budding life and light.
