General regulations of BORNHOLMTOURS

   1.
 Rental certificate | The rental certificate confirms the rental agreement entered into between the tenant and the owner, with BORNHOLMTOURS responsible for mediating between the two parties. The rental agreement covers the holiday accommodation named, and the specifications associated with it.
 
  2.
 Booking and payment | An order is binding upon payment of the first instalment. The first instalment (25% of the package price) must be paid no later than 8 days after placing the order. The remaining amount must be received by BORNHOLMTOURS no less than 60 days prior to arrival. After receipt of payment tickets will be sent. If an order is placed less than 60 days prior to arrival, the entire price of the tour shall be paid along with the order unless otherwise agreed. With payment the customer accepts the travel terms stipulated both on the participant certificate and in the catalogue. The terms listed in the final certificate are binding to both parties. The information on the travel certificate is to be checked by the customer as soon as the certificate is received. The travel organiser must be notified of any errors and mistakes immediately. Specific agreements are only valid if specified on the participant certificate.

  3.
 Prices | The prices specified on the price list for the tours offered in the current catalogue are fixed until a new price list is available. The Transport price apply for a specific ticket category can be limited to certain departures in some periods and may in some cases be sold out. The organiser cannot be held liable for changes in prices and rates nor for miscalculations or misprints. All information is given in good faith, BORNHOLMTOURS is however not liable for the information in the catalogue. All prices marked kr. are in Danish Kroner (currency DKK).

Only for order no. < 10000: Where nothing else is stated, energy consumption must be settled with BORNHOLMTOURS before departure. By rental of a holiday cottage the customer brings his own bed linen, towels and dish towels or orders it in advance at BORNHOLMTOURS .

Only for order no. >9999: Where specified accommodation sites charge surcharges for e.g. electricity consumption, obligatory final cleaning and bed linen. Payment for the use of any facilities at the accommodation, such as tennis courts, sauna, sun bed, etc., must be settled on site with the place of accommodation. We point out that during the off season, the services at the places of accommodation may be reduced.

  4.
 Insurance | All prices for holiday homes (object no. < 10000) and camping cabins include a mandatory 5% surcharge to cover insurance. A "Cancellation and House Contents Insurance", no. 391 A has been contracted with Europæiske Rejseforsikring A/S, Frederiksberg Allé 3, DK-1790 Copenhagen V. In addition, an "Extended Liability Insurance" has been contracted, also with Europæiske Rejseforsikring A/S. Premium payments are not refundable in the event of cancellation. BORNHOLMTOURS does not assume liability for the customer’s person during the rental period. In connection with a rental agreement that has been signed, apart from the obligatory cancellation and contents insurance, no other form of insurance has been taken out to cover personal injury or damage to property that may occur to the tenant or his/her companions during the rental period. The tenant is liable for everything that belongs to the holiday cottage, and in the event that the obligatory travel insurance does not provide cover the tenant is liable to make good any damage that may occur during the stay to the holiday cottage and it’s contents. In the event of damage to the holiday cottage and it’s contents the tenant is obliged to inform BORNHOLMTOURS immediately. All damage must be made good before departure. If any damage/deficiencies are identified after the tenant’s departure, these will be rectified at the tenant’s expense. The custumer is bound to payment also if he because of force majeure (war, strike, natural disaster, radioactive fall-out, cancellation etc.) is hinderes from making use of his rental agreement.

  5.
 Health Insurance | During the holiday. The customer is personally responsible for bringing along a valid health-insurance card or other documents if the customer desires health insurance coverage during the trip to and stay on Bornholm. Persons who are not residents of Denmark, but residents of an EU Member State, should inquire with the authorities in their own country (or with their own insurance company) regarding health insurance coverage while travelling to and residing in another country within the EU. Persons travelling to Bornholm from outside the EU are likewise personally responsible for acquiring health insurance coverage if so desired.

  6.
 Passport, visa, vaccinations | Citizens of the Scandinavian countries can travel freely between Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland. Citizens from other countries must fulfil the requirements of the country into which they are entering in regards to passport, visa, vaccinations, etc. The customer is encouraged to inquire about these matters with the customer’s own national authorities, since there may be deadlines for acquiring passports and fulfilling health requirements. The customer is personally responsible for having the required passport, visa, vaccinations, etc., for the tour.

  7. Provisos | BORNHOLMTOURS functions only as agent for and co-operation partner with the transport companies, hotels and other companies or cottage owners employed in the package tour. Therefore BORNHOLMTOURS is not liable for events on which the travel organiser has no influence such as changes, delays, strikes, cancellations and the like. BORNHOLMTOURS is not liable for any breach of contract on the part of the mentioned companies and cottage owners. BORNHOLMTOURS is an intermediate between owners and customers of holiday cottages and is so not liable for any disagreements between the two parties. When travelling by ferry with the individual shipping companies, said companies have only limited liability as laid down in the Athens Convention.

  8.
 Pets | Pets may not be taken to holiday cottages without permission, and they must always be declared. If it is permitted to take pets, permission is only valid for one pet. If pets are taken without permission, this is considered to be a breach of contract and will result in immediate ejection.

Dogs and cats can only be brought to Denmark if they have been properly inoculated against rabies at least 1 month and no more then 11 months prior to arrival (Documentation and Pet pass must be brought). Dogs must according to Danish law be kept on leash. Transit through Sweden: Certain conditions must be met. Contact Svenske Jordbrugsverket on www.sje.se or by tel. 0046 36155000.

  9.
 The rental agreement | The rental agreement relates to the accommodation specified in the rental certificate and everything that belongs to it. The description of the accommodation is produced by BORNHOLMTOURS in good faith, albeit with freedom from liability for BORNHOLMTOURS . The tenant is, where specified, contractually obliged to keep the rented property clean, and must upon termination of the rental period leave it in a clean and tidy condition. Any cleaning that is necessary will be arranged at the tenant’s expense. The rental period relates to the period specified. The arrangements for issuing of keys/check in to the accommodation vary, and are specified on the relevant rental certificate. If ferry tickets have not been ordered through BORNHOLMTOURS, the tenant must inform BORNHOLMTOURS no later than eight days prior to arrival of the expected arrival time at the accommodation. If an accommodation is rented and occupied by a group, school, institution, etc., this must be declared when the rental contract is arranged, and the name of the group, school, institution, etc. must be specified on the rental certificate.

Only for order no. < 10000: The rental period starts on the arrival day no earlier than 14:00 hrs., and ends on the departure day no later than 10:00 hrs. Keys are issued no earlier than 14:00 hrs.

Only for order no. >9999: Time for check in/key issue is specified in the rental agreement.

10.
 Complaints | All complaints must be made to BORNHOLMTOURS within a reasonable period of time after discovering the fault or deficiency, though no later than 48 hours after the grounds for the complaint have been discovered. The tenant is obliged to allow BORNHOLMTOURS a reasonable period of time to rectify any deficiencies and to avoid the worsening of any damage and to minimise any potential loss for BORNHOLMTOURS. If the rectification is not satisfactory, BORNHOLMTOURS must be informed immediately. In the event of temporary breakdowns of technical installations such as washing machines, dishwashers, televisions, heating, etc., there is no reduction in the rent. Any odours caused by natural phenomena, e.g. seaweed that has been washed up by the tide, do not provide entitlement to a reduction in the rent. If the customer fails to file a complaint, the customer forfeits the right to file a claim for damages. All claims against BORNHOLMTOURS are regulated by Danish law and must be filed with BORNHOLMTOURS' venue (Bornholm, Court in Rønne) as soon as possible.

Only for order no. >9999: In addition, the owner or the owner’s representative must be informed of defects and deficiencies at the accommodation immediately so that it is possible to correct the defect or deficiency as soon as possible.

11.
 Deposit | BORNHOLMTOURS may demand a deposit of EUR 102.- as security to ensure that the accommodation object has been cleaned, is undamaged and to cover any use of electricity, telephone and water prior to departure. If it is necessary to withhold an amount to cover damage, inadequate cleaning or non-payment of electricity, telephone, water, etc., a charge of EUR 21.- will be made in addition to the amount due. If BORNHOLMTOURS is required after the tenant’s departure to demand payment for energy consumption, cleaning, etc., which is not covered by the deposit, a charge of EUR 21.- will be made. If the rental conditions have been observed and BORNHOLMTOURS has been given the tenant’s bank/giro details, the deposit of EUR 102.- is returned approx. 14 days after departure. If BORNHOLMTOURS does not have the tenant’s bank/giro details, a cheque fee of EUR 14.- is deducted before the deposit is returned.

12. Number of persons/discount | Unless special permission is given, the accommodation objekt may not be occupied by more persons than the number specified in the description. The number of persons includes everyone, regardless of age. If the property is occupied by more than the permitted number of persons, this is considered to be a breach of contract, and the contract is terminated immediately, with no further right of compensation for the tenant.

Only for order no. < 10000: BORNHOLMTOURS offers 25% discount on the rental price (requires min. 7 days duration) durings periods B, C and D for selected holiday cottages as well as period II for selected holiday apartments, if they are only occupied by up to two persons. The price quoted is the actual amount, i.e. the discount has been deducted. There is no discount for additional services, e.i. ferry tickets, etc. If the holiday cottage is occupied by more the 2 persons the discount becomes invalid and the difference in price and an administration fee of EUR 69.- become payable immediately.

13A. Alteration & cancellation | Only for order no. < 10000: A completed rental contract may not be cancelled within 60 days of the arrival date. Unless otherwise agreed, BORNHOLMTOURS will only accept written notice of cancellation. In the event of cancellation up to 60 days prior to the arrival date, an administration fee of 10% of the contract total (at least EUR 69.-) is deducted. Insurance premiums and charges paid are not refunded. If cancellation is made any later, the full rental amount is due unless the holiday cottage can be re-let. If the cottage can be re-let, the same rules apply as for cancellation on time. Cancellations/alterations to the rental certificate and associated invoice (including ferry booking) are possible up to 60 days prior to the start of the rental period, subject to a re-booking fee of EUR 28.-. Re-booking/changes later than 60 days prior to arrival are treated as cancellation of the rental contract. Any arrival later than or departure earlier than those stated in the rental agreement must be reported to BORNHOLMTOURS; no rebates are given. Changes in travel dates must be reported to BORNHOLMTOURS. In the event of illness or death, the terms of Europæiske Forsikring apply.
